The late Brendan Fullam alonside one of his great GAA books, Hurling Giants.
The death has taken place of well-known GAA author Brendan Fullam.
A native of Ardagh in Limerick, the late Mr Fullam produced a number of bestselling books on hurling including Giants of the Ash, Hurling Giants and Legends of the Ash.
A career in banking took him to many towns in Ireland and he played gaelic games in Killorglin, Kilrush, Clifden, Ballyshannon, Tralee and Wexford.
The New Ross resident was retired and continued to visit former players and record their stories.
His funeral mass took place this morning in The Church of The Assumption, Rosbercon and burial afterwards in St Mary's Cemetery, Enniscorthy.
