Despite finishing the game with 14 players, Limerick ran out convincing winners over Mary Immaculate College in the Waterford Crystal Cup.

David Breen was dismissed after picking up a second yellow card seven minutes from the end but the victory was already in the bag by that stage.

Breen scored the game's opening goal after just 24 seconds and John Allen's men led by 2-8 to 0-5 at the break.

Shane Dowling finished the game with 2-5 to his credit.
