Kilcormac/Killoughey captain Ciaran Slevin believes his team need to produce the performance of their lives to beat Oulart-The-Ballagh in Sunday's AIB Leinster club hurling final.

Slevin and his team-mates only found last weekend who their final opponents would be after Oulart's original semi-final fixture against Ballyhale Shamrocks had been postponed by a week due to an unplayable pitch at Wexford Park.

"It was going to be tough no matter who were playing," the Offaly senior hurler of the year said in the Midland Tribune.

"Oulart are a good team. They have been in the last couple of Leinster finals, I know they were beaten in them but you have to be a good team to get to a final. They have beaten Ballyhale Shamrocks who are probably one of the best teams in the county so we know we are up against it. It's a relief now knowing who we are playing."

He continued: "If we hurl as best as we can for an hour, there is a good chance that we can win it. Hopefully, we hurl for an hour on Sunday because we haven't really done that in the last couple of games."
