Crokes deny Kenny departure

Kilmacud Crokes manager Hugh Kenny
Kilmacud Crokes have denied reports that Hugh Kenny has stepped down as football manager after just one season.
The former Wicklow full back and manager was rumoured to have quit the Glenalbyn outfit in the wake of last month's surprise Dublin SFC final loss to Ballymun Kickhams, but Crokes football chairman John Shovlin has insisted that no decision has been made yet on any of their management positions for next season.
"We are in 'down period', everyone is sitting back to see where they are going, so there is nothing confirmed, either in or out," Shovlin told the Evening Herald.
"Normally we don't confirm the full batch of selectors until the new committee comes in. Obviously the travel is difficult for him (Kenny), but he is hugely into it and hugely enjoyed it."
