Sligo's Charlie Harrison and Matthew Clancy of Galway in FBD Connacht FL action on the opening day of the GAA season - INPHO
Charlie Harrison believes Sligo couldn't be any better prepared for Saturday evening's Connacht SFC semi-final against Galway.

Speaking to The Irish Independent, the 2010 All Star corner back insists the Yeatsmen are well over the disappointment of their gut-wrenching Connacht final defeat to Roscommon after they beaten both Mayo and Galway en route.

"We'd expect to be much closer this time to the form which took us to the 2010 Connacht final. A huge amount of work has gone into the training and I'd feel this is the best prepared we've been under Kevin," he said.

"We'd never be short of confidence against Galway. We believe in ourselves against anyone nowadays."

Harrison was surprised by the margin of Galway's victory (14 points) against Roscommon in the first round.

"I thought it was very much a 50-50 game but Galway really turned on the style. You'd have to be taken by the way they used the long, diagonal ball into the full-forward line. We know how tough it's going to be to win in Galway but it can be done."
