Amsterdam GAC Senior Mens Team
Amsterdam Gaelic Athletic Club will host the second round of European GAA's Benelux League this coming Saturday, May 26th.

The Benelux regional tournaments are among the most tightly contested tournaments of the European GAA season, and the Amsterdam tournament will give a good indication for the overall European competitions in the autumn. Three different tournaments will take place including the Benelux Men's Championship, Benelux Men's Shield, and the Benelux Ladies Championship.

This weekend will be the second round of the newly established Benelux Shield, affording clubs such as Amsterdam, Belgium, and Luxembourg an opportunity to enter a second senior team each as well, as giving fledging clubs like Dusseldorf a chance to compete in Benelux tournaments while they establish their club.

Amsterdam will have two mens team competing in the Championship and the Shield, and the Holland Ladies will look to continue their fine start to the season with a home tournament victory in the Ladies Championship.

Teams from Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, and The Netherlands will be travelling to Amsterdam for the weekend to take part in all three tournaments.

The tournament will take place at Amsterdam GAC's pitches in Amstelveen, and with a new clubhouse due for completion by the end of the year, and the recent formation of the club's camogie and hurling teams, as well as the two mens gaelic football teams and the largest squad ever for the Holland Ladies gaelic football team, the future is bright for Amsterdam GAC.
