Trinity College Dublin lived up to their favourites' billing when second half goals from Barry O'Rorke and Leo Turley helped them to victory over Liverpool Hope University at Dangan on Saturday.

The winners took a slender 0-5 to 0-4 lead into the break thanks in no small part to the performance of Dublin All-Ireland winner Sean Murray following his switch from centre back to full back. The second half was just two minutes old when O'Rorke grabbed the opening goal after Westmeath midfielder Darragh Daly's initial shot was blocked on the goal-line.

Substitute Cathal McHugh and Fermanagh's Tomas Corrigan added points for Trinity before Leo Turley scored a late goal to put extra gloss on the scoreline. Tweet
