Lennon still has some way to go

Monaghan's Eoin Lennon
Monaghan midfielder Eoin Lennon admits he's still some way off full fitness.
The Latton dynamo answered the call against Meath in Navan last weekend and will probably be on board again on Sunday as the Oriel County welcome Kildare to Clones. But he told the Irish News that he's only finding his feet fitness-wise:
"I'm not 100% fit. I knew that myself going into the [Meath] match but, with Dick [Clerkin] having been away on his honeymoon, we don't have that many midfielders.
"Myself and Dick have played there the last number of years and we don't have that many experienced men to come in.
"You'd be a bit cautions, too - you don't like going out and not doing yourself justice. I just did okay."
And Lennon believes Monaghan are still good enough to make an impact in 2012: "We've been knocking at the door for a few years and we didn't manage to get through it. Obviously, we've had the change of management - it's probably set us back - but I'd like to think we still have a decent team."
