Mayo and Dublin avoid Six Nations clash
January 24, 2012
Mayo have avoided a fixtures clash with Ireland's Six Nations match against France by getting permission to move it to a 6.30pm throw in.
The Connacht champions were due to face All-Ireland champions Dublin in the national football league in Castlebar on Saturday, February 11th at 7pm but Mayo County Board asked the CCCC to change this as the Irish and French go head-to-head at 8:00pm that same evening.
Dublin agreed to the earlier start, as did Setanta Sports, who are broadcasting live coverage of the floodlit match.
