Johnston to get his Kildare switch
January 24, 2012

Seanie Johnston in action for Cavan Gaels
Seanie Johnston has applied for a club transfer to St Kevin's, Staplestown.
The move should see the former Cavan star's intercounty transfer rubber-stamped, ending one of the longest-running transfer sagas in gaelic games.
Johnston had hoped to seal a switch from Cavan to Kildare whilst remaining with his beloved Cavan Gaels back home, but such a move was refused by the Central Appeals Committee, seemingly leaving the ace attacker with no alternative but to change clubs to resume his intercounty career.
Once the 27-year-old - who was dropped by Cavan manager Val Andrews - completes his transfer to St Kevin's the door will be open for him to hook up with Kieran McGeeney's Leinster-chasing Lilywhites.
