Bernard and Alan Brogan celebrate at the end of the game
Alan and Bernard Brogan won't be available for Dublin's mouth-watering NFL opener against Kerry in three weeks' time.
2011 Footballer of the Year Alan is expected to be sidelined for up to four weeks after aggravating a knee injury, while Bernard won't return from an extended holiday abroad until just days before the All-Ireland final rematch.
Speaking after Saturday night's facile O'Byrne Cup quarter-final win over UCD, Dublin manager Pat Gilroy also revealed that Barry Cahill - who had a hectic 2011 with Dublin and St. Brigid's - will miss a chunk of the NFL as he attempts to overcome a number of niggling injuries, while All-Ireland final man of the match Kevin Nolan will also miss the Kerry game through injury.
