Martin Donnelly is remaining on as sponsor of the interprovincial championships for another year.

The Clare businessman has been involved with the series formerly known as the Railway Cup since 2001. It was hoped that a co-sponsor might have come on board this year but Donnelly remains the sole patron of the competition, which takes place next month.

The 2012 M Donnelly interprovincial football semi-finals take place on February 19th when Leinster face Munster at Parnell Park and Connacht host Ulster at Markievicz Park.

The hurling semi-finals will be played on the same day with Leinster meeting Munster at Nowlan Park and Connacht V Ulster scheduled for Ballinasloe's Duggan Park.

The football final is due to be played on Sunday, February 26th with the hurling decider taking place seven days later. Tweet
