Newton seeks winning mentality

Roscommon manager Des Newton
Roscommon manager Des Newton wants to develop a winning mentality in his squad.
Newton takes charge of the Rossies for his first time competitively when they take on GMIT at the weekend and he is set to give some of his more experience players some game time, given the fact that a number of their younger players will be involved with their colleges.
The Roscommon manager feels that a winning start to the year is imperative ahead of the league campaign.
"We'll be looking to win every game because we want to build up a winning mentality," Newton told the Roscommon People. "We'll have enough of experience available to us and there will be 22/23 good players ready to pull on the Roscommon jersey every Sunday."
