Kerins' Galway future in doubt

Galway's Alan Kerins
Alan Kerins' future with the Galway senior hurlers could be at an end after he was left out of Anthony Cunningham's 37-man panel.
Cunningham and his selectors Mattie Kenny and Tom Helebert named their panel over the weekend, with some high-profile names such as former All Star Ger Farragher and Joe Gantley being among the absentees.
It has been reported that the Galway management have not be able to contact Kerins as he is currently in Zambia working on the Alan Kerins Projects - his charity which has benefited from €2m in fundraising efforts over the last few years.
The Clanbridge attacker, who turns 35 next year, lined-out at corner-forward in most of the Tribesmen's championship outings this past summer and it is understood that the new management want to discuss his future before making any decision.
If indeed Kerins is left out of Cunningham's plans, it leaves only David Collins, Damien Hayes and Tony Og Regan as three players on the panel with All-Ireland SHC semi-final experience, as 18 of the Under 21 panel from this year come in to inject some new blood to the set-up.
