'Unbelievable' interview haunts Macauley

Dublin's Michael Darragh Macauley
Michael Darragh Mccauley has revealed how his Dublin team-mates won't let him live down his famous interview with RTE's Marty Morrissey moments after the All-Ireland final.

The midfielder said the word 'unbelievable' no fewer than eight times when he was interviewed on the pitch after the one-point win over Kerry.

"I was playing a celebrity match against him (Morrissey) in Croke Park last Thursday. I was dying to get him with a tackle, but he went in goal so I couldn't really get my hands on him. So Marty, if you're out there, I'm looking for you!" he joked in the Irish Daily Star.

"I still get a bit of grief pretty much everywhere I go. We watched it (the interview) once as team in Vincent's. We all sat around and the abuse I got. We even counted it, was it seven or eight (unbelievables)? Marty really caught me on the hop that day. He caught me again at the All Stars."
