Kerry have been hit by the decision of midfielder Michael Quirke to leave their panel.

The basketball star came on during the Munster final win over Cork five weeks ago but did not feature against Limerick last weekend.

He informed manager Jack O'Connor of his decision during the week and Kerry County Board confirmed the news tonight.

In a statement they said the player had decided to leave the squad due to injury and personal commitments. Tweet
