Kelly likes winning

Limerick forward Stephen Kelly is enjoying the county's run in the qualifiers.

Kelly has been instrumental in the wins over Offaly and Waterford so far and he is looking forward to the clash against Wexford on Saturday as the Shannonsiders go into the match full of confidence. The sides met in the league earlier in the year and on that occasion Limerick came out on top.

"Every time you win is a bonus," Kelly told the Limerick Leader. "But especially this team, who have come so close in so many Munster finals down through the years. Eventually you are going to start questioning, why do I do it, why do I keep coming back?

"In fairness, this year with the injuries we have had, with the setbacks we have had, with the dual players not being available, it is a sign of a quality team which can come back from a defeat to Kerry.

"We are not a bad side, we haven't become one overnight. It is all belief. Now that we have two wins under our belts, we are starting to believe that we can go on and do things."
