Kilkenny star PJ Delaney has vowed to battle back from his latest injury setback which will rule him out for the rest of the championship.
The Fenian's clubman, who is a cousin of former Hurler of the Year JJ Delaney, has seen his season ended by injury for the third year in-a-row. He underwent surgery to correct a troublesome hip joint some months ago, but has now been told by medics that he needs another operation.
"The season is over for me," said the 27-year-old told the Irish Independent.
"One year I would just like to get a break to see what I am really capable of doing. The battle I face to recover doesn't scare me. I have been here before and I intend to come back."
