Fermanagh manager John O'Neill
Fermanagh manager John O'Neill offered no excuses after his side's shock defeat to London in the All-Ireland SFC qualifiers.
The Exiles recorded their first championship victory since 1977 when they handed a their Ulster opponents a 0-15 to 0-9 defeat, after a superb first-half performance which saw them lead by eight points at the break.
Afterwards O'Neill admitted that his side had been beaten by the better team at Ruislip.
"It was a bad day at the office for us," said O'Neill. "London were the better team all over the pitch and we hadn't enough guys to step up to the mark. London took their chances and we were probably naïve."
O'Neill also admitted that there was plenty of work to be done in the Erne County, stating "the job is to build a new squad and get up to Division 3", before paying further tribute to London
"London's hunger was phenomenal. We didn't match it. Good luck to them; they'll give whoever they meet in the next round plenty of trouble," said the Lisnaskea man.
