Dublin's Peadar Carton celebrates scoring their second goal of the game against Offaly
Michael Carton has been recalled to the Dublin hurling squad ahead of the Leinster SHC semi-final against either Galway or Westmeath in Tullamore on June 18.
The wing back dropped himself off the panel last November after being plagued by injury. In addition, he had just taken up a new job as a fireman and was on a training course for some time.
Meanwhile, Carton's younger brother Peadar is hoping his clinching goal against Offaly last Sunday will boost his chances of a gaining a starting place the next day.
"Hopefully the goal will improve my chances of making the team," the O'Toole's man said.
"Like any other player, you'd like to start in every game and I certainly wasn't happy at being on the bench for the Offaly game. But at the same time, I couldn't have any complaints as the forwards had played very well in the league final and they were scoring points from all over the place."
