Tyrone captain Brian Dooher and Stephen O'Neill are both on course to start against Monaghan.

The Clann na nGael clubmates have played hardly any football so far this year, but O'Neill County assistant manager Tony Donnelly confirmed to The Irish News that both are in contention for starting berths at Healy Park on Sunday:

"From what we have seen, Brian in particular is getting stronger over the past few weeks and he's definitely very much in contention for a starting place.

"Stevie, after a minor knock or two and the birth of his baby daughter, he's been going really well in training also this past number of weeks.

"So we wouldn't be thinking along the lines of impact subs. They'd be really in serious contention to start. And we're very lucky to have men like them." Tweet
