Canty back in action

Cork's Graham Canty
Cork captain Graham Canty made his return to competitive action last weekend as he scored two crucial points in Bantry Blues' 1-11 to 1-9 win over Newmarket in the Cork Premier IFC.
Canty, who has been sidelined since last October with injury, had been a doubt for the Blues right up until the throw-in but lined-out at centre-field and played a starring role in the victory.
Elsewhere in the county, Nemo Rangers got their senior championship title defence off to a winning start with a two-point win against Ballincollig, while Canty's Cork team-mate Michael Shields lined-out for St Finbarr's as they also had two points to spare over Newcestwon.
