Senan Kilbride honoured in provincial awards scheme
March 21, 2011
St Brigids and Roscommon star Senan Kilbride has been honoured in the Connacht GAA Writers Personality of the Month scheme.
Kilbride was the scoring sensation as the Roscommon club defeated honour-laden Nemo Rangers by 0-13 to 1-8 in the AIB All-Ireland club football semi-final at the Gaelic Grounds, Limerick. His six points were crucial factors in St Brigids progressing to the All-Ireland final, where they lost to another iconic club, Crossmaglen Rangers of Armagh. He has been selected for the February award.
The January award in this prestigious scheme was won by Caltra Cuans ladies footballers, Co. Galway.
The monthly award winners will receive their presentations at a special function in the TF Royal Theatre and Hotel, Castlebar, after the season is over. The winner of the Michael McDonnell Award for the Personality of the Year will also be announced on that night.
