Colaiste Chriost Ri 1-12
Pobalscoil Chorca Dhuibhne 1-7
Cork college Colaiste Chriost Ri claimed victory in the Corn Ui Mhuiri final on Sunday at the expense of Dingle side Pobalscoil Chorca Dhuibhne.
Chriost Ri suffered a blow straight from the throw-in when they lost midfielder Eoghan Finn to injury after a challenge which saw Chorca Dhuibhne's Padraig O Sé dismissed by referee Richard Moloney.
The 14 men responded well to the loss of O Sé, the son of Kerry legend Paidi, and led by a single point (1-6 to 1-5) as the game approached the final quarter.
However, the accuracy of Luke Connolly from play and frees saw Colaiste Chriost Ri put their noses in front and they held on well in the closing stages, and the winners could even afford the luxury of a missed penalty from the scorer in chief late on.
