Irish Rail adds extra services for Croke Park demand
February 19, 2011
Irish Rail has scheduled additional services to cater for the crowds expected to descend on Croke Park on Saturday evening.
There are a number of extra trains running before and after Saturday's opening games of the "Dublin Spring Series", which sees the Dubs take on the All-Ireland champions in both hurling and football.
There are two extra trains running from Maynooth to Connolly Station at 4.30pm and 6.05pm respectively.
In addition, three additional routes will leave Connolly for M3 Parkway (9.20pm), Maynooth (9.35pm) and Drogheda (10pm).
All previously scheduled services from M3 Parkway to Connolly between 3.05pm and 7.05pm will additionally call at Coolmine, Castleknock, Phoenix Park, Ashtown, Broombridge and Drumcondra.
The changes mean that the 9.25pm train from Pearse Station to Drogheda will be deferred until 9.40pm.
