Glencar Manorhamilton clubman James Glancy has been appointed captain of the Leitrim senior footballers for 2011.

Glancy replaces Drumreilly's John McKeon in the position in Mickey Moran's set up.

The talented forward helped Glencar Manorhamilton to a third successive Leitrim senior football championship in the autumn.

Barry Prior and Tomas Beirne, intermediate and junior championship winners with Aughawillan and Eslin respectively in 2010, have been named as vice-captains for the coming year.

Leitrim begin their National Football League Division 4 campaign against Clare on Sunday week (February 6th). Tweet
