Mick O'Dwyer
Mick O'Dwyer has pulled out of the race to become the next Mayo football manager and is expected to stay with Wicklow.
The Irish Daily Star reports that the 74-year-old Kerryman has informed the Mayo county board that he is no longer interested in the position, which was vacated by John O'Mahony in June. His decision leaves six candidates - John Maughan, Tommy Lyons, Tommy Carr, James Horan, Anthony McGarry and Denis Kearney - in the running for the job.
O'Dwyer has also been linked with the vacancies in Limerick and Monaghan.
It is believed that Wicklow are close to confirming that O'Dwyer is set to remain with the Garden County for a fourth year.
