O'Flaherty starts for Kildare

Kildare's Eoghan O'Flaherty
Eoghan O'Flaherty has been promoted to the Kildare starting XV for Sunday's All-Ireland SFC quarter-final against Meath at Croke Park.

The Carbury clubman comes in at left half forward for Ken Donnelly after impressive appearances off the bench in the recent qualifier victories over Derry and Monaghan. A brother of wing back Morgan, he missed the entire National League campaign due to study commitments, but he was invited back to the squad before Kildare's surprise Leinster championship loss to Louth on the back of some excellent club form.

As expected, Dermot Earley has been passed fit to take his place at midfield alongside Daryl Flynn, while the long-serving Anthony Rainbow is able to take his place on the subs bench after a leg injury forced him to miss the qualifier campaign.

Kildare (SF v Meath): S McCormack; P Kelly, H McGrillen, A MacLochlainn; M O'Flaherty, E Bolton, B Flanagan; D Flynn, D Earley; J Kavanagh, P O'Neill, E O'Flaherty; J Doyle, A Smith, E Callaghan.
