Henry to lead Dubs

March 23, 2010

Dublin's David Henry
David Henry has been confirmed as the new Dublin captain, taking over from Paul Griffin who has been ruled out for the season after tearing his cruciate ligament.

The Raheny ace had been named vice-captain at the start of the year by manager Pat Gilroy and took the role in the Dubs' last two meetings in the league against Monaghan and Cork, respectively.

Since making his debut in 2003, Henry has been a regular in the Dublin team, winning four Leinster titles and being nominated for an All Star on two occasions.
