Tannian sidelined for Galway

Galway's Iarla Tannion
Galway hurling boss John McIntyre has been dealt a major blow with the news that Iarla Tannian could miss the remainder of the National League due to a hand injury.

Tannian has been ruled out of tomorrow's meeting with Offaly after breaking a bone in his hand during last weekend's defeat to Tipperary at Thurles an is likely to miss the Tribesmen's remaining three games as they look to push for a league final place in Division One.

Up until now, Tannian had been Galway's top-scorer from play in the campaign with 3-6 and his absence could see McIntyre rush back his Portumna contingent, which have all been ruled out of the Faithful County's visit to Pearse Stadium tomorrow night.
