St Lachtain's (Kilkenny) 3-17
St Gall's (Antrim) 0-10
Kilkenny and Leinster champions St Lachtain's added the All-Ireland club intermediate hurling championship crown to their season collection yesterday when they recorded a comfortable victory over St Gall's at Croke Park.
Favourites coming into this decider, St Lachtain's were well on their way to the title by the break when they lead by 1-10 to 0-6, with their goal coming from Ollie O'Connor in the added minutes.
Despite their efforts, the second-half wouldn't prove anymore successful for St Gall's, after CJ Gourty had registered their entire opening half tally from frees, as the Kilkenny men hit two quick points from Eoin Guinan and Robbie Dowling before wing forward John Fitzpatrick bagged a pair of goals to seal the title in emphatic fashion.
