Burke relishing Croker return

Former Mayo keeper Peter Burke
Former Mayo goalkeeper Peter Burke will play in his third All-Ireland final at Croke Park on Sunday, but it will be his first with his beloved club Kiltimagh.

Burke played in the 1997 and 2004 All-Ireland senior football finals and he is the most experience player in the Kiltimagh side that will take on Kerry and Munster champions Castlegregory in the All-Ireland junior club football this Sunday.

The former county goalkeeper admits returning to Croke Park at this stage of his career is a major shock, although it is one that he intends to savour.

"I didn't think I'd be going back to Croke Park again as a player. I thought my days out there would be for Six Nations' games," he told the Mayo News.

"All-Ireland finals fly by. Before you know it you're in the dressingroom and you've either lost, or you've won. You only get once chance. But the main thing is that you give it your all, you give 100%."
