Maynooth's finest launch Ulster Bank Sigerson Cup

The Ulster Bank Sigerson Cup, the highlight of the Higher Education football season, was officially launched at the host venue N.U.I. The Ulster Bank Sigerson Cup, the highlight of the Higher Education football season, was officially launched at host venue N.U.I. Maynooth. On hand to show their support were top N.U.I. Maynooth students, past and present, including Dublin's Barry Cahill and Ger Brennan, Galway's Niall Coyne and Kildare selector Niall Carew.
The quarter-finals of the Ulster Bank Sigerson Cup take place on Wednesday February 17th followed by the semi-finals on Friday February 26th. The Ulster Bank Sigerson Cup Final will be held in Leixlip GAA Club on February 27th.
Speakers at the launch Joanne Leonard, Area Manager North Leinster, Ulster Bank, said "We are delighted that NUI Maynooth will be hosting the finals weekend of Higher Education football and we look forward to a fantastic weekend of high quality football."

Ulster Bank's sponsorship of Higher Education GAA is set to run up to and including the centenary championships in 2011. The sponsorship includes all seven Higher Education Championships; in Gaelic Football, the Further Education Colleges Championship, Corn na MacLeinn, the Trench Cup and the Sigerson Cup and in Hurling, the Fergal Maher Cup, The Ryan Cup and the Fitzgibbon Cup.
