Cumann Warszawa GAA Club

February 02, 2010
A group of us Irish lads in Warsaw Poland have setup 'Cumann Warszawa GAA Club' over the winter months.
We are fully registered with the GAA and ready for action for 2010 and we will compete in the Central European League.

There is a weekly kick-about and some training on Mondays at 6pm in Stadion Skra for males & females.

We want to try to start building up as many numbers as possible so please do not be afraid to turn up regardless of what you think your level of participation is and please tell everyone you meet about us !

The idea is that we will have some foreign trips for league games & weekend blitzes and also some events such as Irish Nights in Warsaw for EVERYONE to enjoy so that this is more of an "Irish Club" rather than meerly a football club to play a bit of ball.

So, anyone that is interested in supportin, playin, organisin, makin sandwiches, cuttin oranges, linin pitches, collecting at gates, polishin boots, washin jerseys, fillin water bottles, providing financial backing, dishin abuse or meerly leanin again goalposts talking about us can you please mail [email protected] so we have everyone.

Also, any Irish Clubs that are interested in a weekend away and a friendly game of Gaelic Football thrown in then be sure to contact me.

Warsaw is a beautiful city with 30 degree sunshine for 6 solid months of the year. The history is amazing and you really need to see the locals to believe how beautiful they really are !

There is a daily Aer Lingus Flight from Dublin to Warsaw that is not expensive if booked in advance. Warsaw has a great social scene here and any club or stag party visiting should contact us and we would be only too happy to show yee around .) !

Is mise le meas,
Eoin Sheedy.
Chairman - Cumann Warszawa GAa Club.
