Storey eager to end Wexford's minor famine

Wexford great Martin Storey
New Wexford minor hurling manager Martin Storey has set his sights on delivering a long-overdue Leinster title to the Model County.
Since the Slaneysiders last lifted the Leinster minor hurling crown in 1985, arch-rivals Kilkenny have amassed a whopping 18 titles, while Dublin and Offaly have also tasted provincial success in the grade.
"We haven't won a Leinster minor hurling title since 1985," the 1996 All-Ireland winning captain lamented.
"As well, we have to go all the way back to 1968 for our last All-Ireland. So a bit of success at minor level is certainly overdue for Wexford."
Storey will be assisted by selectors Noel O'Keeffe (St. Anne's), Cormac Quinn (St. Martin's) and Jim O'Connell (Rathnure).
