Former Fermanagh star Raymond Gallagher
Former Fermanagh forward Raymond Gallagher has taken his first step into senior club management with Belcoo O'Rahilly's. The 34-year-old, who was one of the Erne County's biggest names during the 1990s and early 2000s, takes over from John McParland who stepped down after they fell at the first round of the Fermanagh SFC for the third time in-a-row last year. Belcoo secretary Paul McGrath said in the Irish News: "We are giving Raymond his chance in senior team management. He has been appointed for one year with a review at the end of the season and winning the senior championship is the main goal for us this year." Gallagher's home club is Belcoo's local rivals Erne Gaels, but he also lined out for St. Brigid's in Dublin and Tyrone side Dromore. Along with his cousin Rory, he helped Blanchardstown outfit St. Brigid's to Dublin and Leinster club championship success in 2003.
