'How about taking the Munster boys out of their comfort zone'

A former Wexford star has questioned the decision to fix the two All-Ireland SHC quarter-finals for FBD Semple Stadium rather than a Leinster venue.

Wexford will take on Clare in the second part of the double-header which also features Dublin v Cork on Saturday afternoon. The quarter-finals have been played at Thurles or other Munster venues in recent years, but Rory Jacob believes it’s time that changed.

In a tweet that got over 50 replies, the Oulart The-Ballagh man said: “Is there not a case for the All-Ireland quarter-finals to be in a Leinster venue for once? How 'bout Croke Park and take the Munster boys out of their comfort zone?’
