Senior Camogie Championship

Lough Lene Gaels............0.08

Drumraney........................0.04

Collinstown's Decotek Park is where Lough Lene Gaels v Drumraney contested an actual clichéd "winner takes all" Round 5 fixture of Group 1 of the David Smyth Catering Senior Camogie Championship was played on Sunday September 7th.

The weather conditions, although unfriendly for the playing of a sporting fixture, did not deter either Lough Lene Gaels or Drumraney in seeking a victory that would confirm qualification for the semi finals phase of this competition. Scores were at a premium throughout the playing of this fixture. Lough Lene Gaels 0.06 Drumraney 0.01, was the match scoreline at half time. The competitive nature of this Round 5 fixture continued in the second half. A Lough Lene Gaels competitive and "battling" team performance throughout the full duration of this Round 5 fixture, ensured victory for the Purple and Golds by a margin of four points, and earned a place in the semi finals phase of the 2025 David Smyth Catering Senior Camogie Championship. Furthermore, Lough Lene Gaels Camogie Club has justified its Senior status for Championship competition purposes in this, the 2025 playing season.
