Ladies football v Milltownpass

Our adult ladies footballers overcame Milltownpass’ second team by 3-15 to 1-4 in Round 3 of their Division 5 League campaign in Milltownpass last Sunday.

Two goals from Aoibhinn Jackson and another from the youthful Grace Maloney were supplemented by points from Anna Wrafter, Becky Scally, Aíne Pettit, Aleisa Fitzgerald, Maloney and Jackson. After losing to Clann Gaels in the first round and receiving a walkover from Ballycomoyle in the second round, this was the team’s first win on the field of play since reforming at the start of the year, and will hopefully be the first of many.

Team: Narelle Saward; Olivia Wrafter, Orla Brennan, Ellie Fitzpatrick; Abbie Coffey, Fiona Dixon, Jane Colton; Ava Rochford, Aideen Pettit; Aíne Pettit, Aleisha Fitzgerald, Anna Wrafter; Grace Maloney, Aoibhinn Jackson, Becky Scally. Medals presentation

Last year’s New Forest Gaels’ minor championship winning squad were presented with their medals at St James’ Hall last Saturday night.

A big thank you to Westmeath star Luke Loughlin for presenting the medals and offering the lads some words of advice and encouragement as they embark on the next stage of their football careers.

Lotto jackpot is €15,000

Last week’s lucky numbers were 7, 14, 21 and 23. The jackpot wasn’t won. The Match 3 winners were Finbar Coffey, Elaine Brady, Mary Daly, Mary Lynagh, Michael O’Grady and Ryan Weston.

The jackpot has been capped at €15,000 until it is won again. Make sure to buy your tickets online or at Centra, Mace and Whelan’s. Thank you for your continued support.
