New lights

Our new walking track lights around the pitch were switched on for the first time last week. This is a huge step forward for the club, having been made possible through Clár funding.

Race Day

We are holding a big fundraising event at Kilbeggan Races on Friday, May 16.

The Race Day will include VIP access to marquee, live music by Jiggers of Eireann ‘til 9.30pm and prizes for best dressed lad and lady as well as entry into a raffle for All-Ireland football and hurling final tickets and two tickets for Westmeath GAA’s Win a Home in Spain draw.

Sympathy

We were saddened to learn of the passing of Pat Geoghegan, Cumminstown and Margaret Carberry, The Square last week.

Pat was a fine footballer with his native Ballinagar in his youth and instilled his passion for the GAA in his son Mark, who has served us well in a variety of roles. Predeceased by her husband Tom only a few months ago, Margaret was also a highly-respected and well-liked member of the community whose son Tommie and grandson Leon are stalwarts of our club.

May they rest in peace.

Lotto

Last week’s lucky numbers were 10, 12, 13 and 15. The jackpot wasn’t won. The Match 3 winner was Carol Dowdall.
