We held our Club Lotto draw on Thursday night last 3/10/24 in Farrellys Bar and lounge castlepollard.

For a jackpot of €4900

The numbers drawn were (8), (18), (22), (24).

Unfortunately no one matched 4 numbers.

Ballycomoyle junior Ladies.

 

6/10/24.

 

What a fantastic day for our junior ladies in the Junior B Championship Final as our ladies take the cup home to Ballycomoyle.

The Ballycomoyle ladies got off to the better start in this match getting the first 2 pts of the game in the 5th and 6th minute. But Shandonagh were level by the 9th minute with 2 pts of their own. 

By 29th minute it was Shandonagh ladies that were in front by narrowest of margins. But it was the Ballycomoyle ladies that popped over the last score of the half a point to leave the half time score.

Ballycomoyle. 2-03.

Shandonagh. 2-03.

 

In the second half it was Shandonagh that took the lead again with a point. Shandonagh then got their second point of the half to go 2pts up. But it was the Ballycomoyle ladies that had a point of their own on 42nd minute. Quickly added to by a fine taken goal in 45th minute to put the Ballycomoyle ladies in a deserving lead. The Ballycomoyle ladies struck for their fourth goal in 48th minute to really put the pressure onto Shandonagh. But in fairness to Shandonagh they weren't going to give up without a fight with two more great points of their own.

The Ballycomoyle ladies were playing extremely well when they popped over the next 3 points to go 6pts up. Shandonagh had the final say in this match with a fine taken goal of their own.

As the final whistle sounded the junior B championship was heading back to the Bal.

Shandonagh. 3-07

Many congratulations girls and management team this is a fantastic achievement to bring the cup back to Bal. Many

And to Jessie Ginnell captain who was presented with the junior B cup by the ladies chairperson Geraldine Gilles on behalf our ladies team..

It was fantastic to see the brilliant crowd coming out and supporting the team.
