Lough Lene Gaels played a semi final fixture of the Slevins Coaches SHAC versus Clonkill at Mullingar's TEG Cusack on Sunday afternoon October 6th in bright sunshine, a contrast to the early morning rain and overcast weather conditions. 

While not as high scoring as the scheduled Divisional fixture of these clubs, played 14 days previously, it was never the less very competitive, and there was never a dull moment in open play.

Clonkill 0.08 Lough Lene Gaels 1.04 was the match scoreline at half time, Marcus Kennedy the goalscorer for Lough Lene Gaels. 

In the opening eleven (11) minutes 9f the second half, Lough Lene Gaels outscored Clonkill 0.05 to 0.01, moving 1.09 to 0.09 in front as a consequence. 

Clonkill though rallied, to draw level at 0.12 to 1.09, shortly after the midway point of the second half.

The teams were deadlocked at Lough Lene Gaels 1.12 (15) Clonkill 0.15 (15) as this fixture reached the end of normal playing time. 

In the stoppage time that followed, Lough Lene Gaels outscored Clonkill 0.03 to 0.01, therefore winning this Slevins Coaches SHAC Semi final fixture by a margin of two points.

Sincere condolences to the respective families of Bernadette McLoughlin, Castlepollard, and Kevin Murphy, Delvin, both of whom died recently. RIP.

Numbers drawn at a lotto draw that took place at the Decotek Park Clubhouse for a jackpot of €3000, on Monday Night, September 30th were, 1, 9, 10, 19.

There was no winner of the jackpot. One Match 3 winner, Lucy Fitzpatrick, won €100. The winning Match 3 ticket was sold by Lough Lene Gaels Hurling Club. The next lotto draw, for a jackpot of €3000, will be held at the Decotek Park Clubhouse at 7.30pm on Monday October 14th.
