U12 Camogie Mini League - Division 1 final

Lough Lene Gaels and Raharney contested the U12 mini league Division 1 final, played on Saturday afternoon September 7th at Kinnegad, on a beautiful autumn day, with a large number of spectators present.

A full spectrum of standard sporting clichés and terms of phrase, would be required to even start to attempt the ebbs and flows of a Camogie fixture, that was played to a very high standard for its entire duration. Lough Lene Gaels were in arrears by a margin of one point at half time, following a high scoring first half. The pace of match play continued to be played to a high tempo in the second half, scores exchanged on a regular basis. A late run of scores in favour of Lough Lene Gaels enabled the Purple and Golds to win a superb contested Camogie match by a margin of one point. Lough Lene Gaels Camogie Club extends its warm and sincere congratulations to the Lough Lene Gaels Camogie Club U12 Panel of players and team management on this great success.
