Division 1 minor football championship
Report.
Ballycomoyle welcomed Loughnavalley to our grounds on Tuesday evening last 30/7/24. This was a rearranged fixture from the start of the Division 1 championship.
Due to low numbers, both sides agreed to field a team of 12.
Loughnavalley started the stronger of the sides, scoring some great points. Ballycomoyle on the attack was guilty of missing a some scoring chances but the girls continued to battle. At half time, it was Loughnavalley up 5 points.
Into the second half and Ballycomoyle Ladies started putting some fantastic moves together, scoring a some lovely points. Loughnavalley came back with goals on either side of the half. In the end, the big pitch and the 12 a side really took its toll on both teams. Unfortunately, it wasn't to be our day losing on a scoreline of
Ballycomoyle 0-10.
Loughnavalley 2-12
Thanks to referee Mick Gordon. And to all supporters for coming out to support our ladies.
