Lough Lene Gaels Camogie Notes

U16  Division 1 Camogie Championship 

 

Collinstown's Decotek Park, was the venue, where  on Monday evening, July 1st, Lough Lene Gaels played the  group team of  St Oliver Plunketts/St Brigid's, in a Divisional fixture of the U16 Division 1 Camogie Championship. 

Because of a defeat to Raharney previously in a Round 2 fixture of this competition, this fixture of Monday evening July 1st, had to be a "must win" category fixture for Lough Lene Gaels. 

This fixture was won by Lough Lene Gaels.

 

Glen Dimplex All Ireland Intermediate Camogie Championship 

 

Westmeath played Offaly in a Round 5 Divisional fixture of the All Ireland Glen Dimplex All Ireland Intermediate Camogie Championship at Mullingar's TEG Cusack Park on Saturday July 6th. This was a fixture that Westmeath had to win, in order to qualify for the knock out phase of this competition. 

Victory though went to Offaly in this Round 5 fixture, therefore ending Westmeath's participation in this competition. Lough Lene Gaels Camogie Club was represented by Caoimhe McCrossan on the Westmeath starting XV.

 

Senior Camogie Championship 

 

Lough Lene Gaels Camogie Club is drawn in Division 1 of the David Smyth Catering Senior Camogie Championship, alongside Castletown Geoghegan, Clonkill and Crookedwood. Fixtures in both Divisions of this competition, will be played on a single round format. Following the completion of all fixtures in both Divisions, the teams placed in first and second places, in both Divisions, will contest semi final fixtures of this competition. Lough Lene Gaels will play Crookedwood at Crookedwood, in a Round 1 fixture of this competition.

Senior Camogie League D1 

 

Lough Lene Gaels Camogie Club will complete its schedule of fixtures in Division 1 of the Senior Camogie League, by the playing of a Round 7 fixture v Raharney.
