Senior Camogie League D1 - Round 6 Result

Lough Lene Gaels, as the conclusion of the Divisional phase of Division 1 of the Senior Camogie League approaches, won a Round 6 fixture versus Crookedwood, played at Crookedwood on Monday evening, June 24th. Several aspects of the Lough Lene Gaels team performance in this Round 6 fixture were very accomplished, in a playing context.

Lough Lene Gaels will conclude its schedule of Divisional fixtures, with a Round 7 fixture versus Raharney.

 

U14 Camogie Championship D1 - Divisional fixture

 

Lough Lene Gaels made the journey to Ringtown on Monday evening, June 24th, to play the Ringtown/St Munnas group team in a Divisional fixture of the Division 1 U14 Camogie Championship. 

This fixture was won by Lough Lene Gaels.

 

Glen Dimplex All Ireland Intermediate Camogie Championship 

 

Westmeath played Galway in a Round 3 Divisional phase fixture of the Glen Dimplex All Ireland Intermediate Camogie Championship, at Athenry, on Saturday afternoon, June 22nd. Westmeath lost that fixture to Galway by a margin of seven points. 

Westmeath 2.07 (13) Galway 1.17 (20), was the match result. 

Caoimhe McCrossan was the Lough Lene Gaels Camogie Club representative on the Westmeath starting XV. 

 

On Saturday June 29th, Mullingar's TEG Cusack Park, was the venue, where Westmeath played Clare in a Round 4 Divisional fixture of the same competition, a fixture froma Westmeath perspective  was in.the "must win" category. Westmeath won this fixture v Clare.

Match result: Westmeath 4.13 (25) Clare 1.06 (09). 

Caoimhe McCrossan was again the Lough Lene Gaels Camogie Club player representative on the Westmeath starting XV.

 

Next Saturday, July 6th, Westmeath concludes its schedule of Divisional fixtures in this competition, by playing a Round 5 fixture, Westmeath v Offaly, at a Westmeath match venue. 

This pending Round 5 fixture, is also a "must win" fixture for Westmeath, if ambitions of qualifying for the knock out phase of this competition, are to be maintained.
