Junior men.

ACFL Division.5. Result Ballycomoyle 1-16. Milltown 1-19

We played our last game in Division 5. On Monday evening last 24/6/23. This was a great work out for our lads scoring 1-16 against a very strong Milltown side.

We now move on to the championship where we take on St Joseph's in the first round on Friday 19th of July.

Ballycomoyle v St Joseph's.

Venue: Shandonagh.

Date: Friday 19/7/24.

Time: 7-30 pm.

Referee: Ken Daly.

Ladies football.

Ballycomoyle under 16 league Division 3 Round 4..

Under 16 LGFA League Division 3 Rd 4.

Ballycomoyle 3-07

The Downs 6-10.

We played our final league match on Tuesday evening last 25/6/24 against a strong Downs side.

Ballycomoyle came out of the blocks in superb firm playing some fantastic football all over and gaining some seriously good scores. The Downs had very little answer to Ballycomoyle's dominance. Half Time Score read Ballycomoyle 3-06. The Downs 2-03.

Into the 2nd half and the Downs took complete control, There county players took the game by the scruff and dominated kicking some great points, and goals, Ballycomoyle struggled to gain any momentum and in the end a lack of training for 3 weeks with exams etc took its toll. We thank our under 14 girls who stood up to their task to help out they never looked out of their depth. Onwards now to Championship football and we look forward to seeing who we play.

Ballycomoyle GAA Healthy Gaa.

Hosted their Mental Health and suicide awareness evening on Thursday night last 27/6/24 in the Castlevaragh hotel Castlepollard.

The talk was given by Patrick Jones resource officer for suicide prevention.

The event was very well attended by all ages and the feedback was very positive. Patrick delivered a very informative talk and was available to chat afterwards to anyone who wished. There was lots of material available for people to take away.

The healthy club will run other similar events later in the year.
