Ballycomoyle ladies football.

Our under 14 lose out by the narrowest of margins.

Our under 14 girls welcomed Loughnavalley to Ballycomoyle for the last round of the under 14 League on Thursday evening last 20/6/24. The loughnavalley girls got off to a great start in this match going into a 1-04 lead. It took 12 minutes in the match for our girls to get the first score and played some fine football resulting in 5-point lead at the break. Loughnavalley made some changes in their forward line and they came out strong in the second half, they took their scores very well while we were unlucky at the other end with some fine shots on goal unfortunately going the wrong side of the uprights. With 5 minutes to go the Ballycomoyle girls were trailing by 4 points but the girls dug deep and a goal by our girls left it a one point match. Ballycomoyle gave everything in the last few minutes of this match with two great chances to level the match but unfortunately it wasn't to be. As the final whistle sounded. It was Loughnavalley winning out on a score of Ballycomoyle 5-09 Loughnavalley 3-16.

Well done to this amazing bunch of young ladies who kept battling until the whistle sound's and who played with great heart and determination with every girl giving 100%.

Many thanks to our under 12 comrades who play with us, they are very much part of our team now, and thank you to all the parents and supporters.

We now look forward to the under 14 championship.
