Under 14 Report.

We welcomed Killucan to Ballycomoyle on Thursday evening last 6/6/24 for a round of the U14 League. Injuries and holidays meant we had only 14 players and none of which was our goalie, which meant from the first whistle we were on under pressure.

Killucan started strong and were fluent in their passes and accurate between the posts, however when our girls got going the sides evened up and we went in at half time only 2 points down. In the second half the Ballycomoyle girls started the strongest however Killucan brought on fresh legs and with no subs of our own the girls ran out of steam. The final score Ballycomoyle 3-03 Killucan 4-13.

We are very proud of this amazing bunch of girls who after defeat can still laugh and smile and offer great encouragement to one another.

Special thanks to the 5 girls who took on the role of goalie throughout the match and each one of them had amazing saves.

Many thanks to all the, Mams and Dad's, and Nans and Grandads, and all the supporters who came out to support the girls. Many thanks to Killucan for a very Sporting game.

Up next is an away game to St Mary's Thursday 13th June.
