St Michaels 2-18 Multyfarnham 5-03

St Michaels recorded their 6th win of the League on Wednesday evening last 29/5/24 in Castletown Finea pitch against neighbours Multyfarnham.

Michaels displayed excellent point taking in the first half to lead at the break with Multyfarnham staying in touch with well taken goals.

A strong Multyfarnham comeback was on the cards before two green flags were raised to ease the home nerves.

Congratulations to the St. Michaels lads on a fantastic win.

Ballycomoyle Ladies.

Our Ballycomoyle under 14 girls travelled the long distance to Castledaly Gaa to face Cill Oige in the U14 League, our squad was diminished due to injury and school tours and end of school activities so we enlisted the help of some of our U12 colleagues,

Cill Oige got off to the better start and went 2 goals and 4 points up in the first 15 mins, however our girls showed great strength and determination and kept battling hard. We went in at the break on a score line 4 10 to 2 1.

More injuries meant we had to bring in our super subs and they didn't disappoint, when the 2nd half started our girls were on top and kept the ball in the Cill Oige half, we sent over wide balls and were very unlucky now to have another 2 goals in the net in the first 10 mins of 2nd half.

Cill oige pressed on and found the net twice more. The Ballycomoyle girls never gave up and as the game went on we got stronger and stronger We just ran out of time.

It just wasn't our night.

Thank you to this amazing bunch of girls who play with great heart and good humour, to the parents for travelling and who are always there supporting these girls.

Final score 6.16 to 3.06

Thank you to Cill Oige for great match.
